Ever since its first introduction in the field of conservation, the role of UV-VIS luminescence/fluorescence (UVL and UVf, respectively) imaging has been expanding.The unique and significant contribution of this technique for investigation of cultural heritage has led to the development of new methodologies and applications. Each chapter in this volume can be read independently. While this means that some repetition may occur between the individual chapters, in particular regarding the explanation of terminology and methodology, such overlap provides interesting opportunities for cross-comparison of both terminology and methodology. In addition, it highlights similarities and differences between different situations in the practical application.

Fuster López, Laura Laura FUSTER LÓPEZ profesora titular de Universitat Politècnica de València. Además de la difusión de su actividad investigadora en diferentes congresos, capítulos de libro y revistas especializadas, desde el año 2012 es evaluadora del University and Research (MIUR) General Directorate for the Coordination and Development of Research Office del Ministerio Italiano de Educación, así como de la Italian Research and University Evaluation Agency (ANVUR) y más recientemente de la Agencia Estatal Española de Investigación. Así mismo es revisora habitual de diferentes revistas internacionales tales como Journal of Cultural Heritage (Elsevier), Cellulose (Springer), Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy (Elsevier), Spectroscopy Letters (Taylor & Francis) y Journal of Archaeological Science (Elsevier) y ha traducido textos para editoriales e instituciones especializadas (Studies in Conservation, Archetype Ltd. Publishing, ICOM-CC etc.). Desde 2011 es board member de ENCoRE (European Network for Conservation Restoration Education), así como Coordinadora Asistente del Grupo de Trabajo de Formación y Educación del International Council of Museums - Committee of Conservation (ICOM-CC), habiendo participado activamente en numerosos encuentros relacionados con la calidad en la formación y la adquisición de competencias para el ejercicio de la profesión del Conservador-Restaurador a nivel internacional.
